Hi Everyone! I'm a forty-something stay-at-home mom who has just about run out of people to stay home for. My four kids range in age from 16 to 24. My amazing husband says we have the ugliest dog in existence (but she is also the sweetest so we overlook that). Two cats (who are just lucky they are cute) round out our household. To say I love to read might be an understatement. I also enjoy cooking, quilting, camping and hiking. What else would you like to know? Just ask - I'm an open book ;o).
Disclaimer
I do not in any way pretend to have perfect taste in books. There is no guarantee of satisfaction if you take me at my word and read a book I have enjoyed, that you decide has been a waste of your time. What I can promise is an eclectic variety of suggestions and reviews based on my own experiences and thoughts. I love to read; I love to write and I love to exchange thoughts and ideas with you guys. So, if you read a book and want to recommend it, post a comment (I'm always looking for reading suggestions); if you read a book that I have reviewed or recommended, post a comment with your thoughts (I am really interested in what you have to say). What an amazing blessing it is to be able to read and to have access to books. As Mark Twain is purported to have said: "The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who can't read them." So let's do it!
Hello Dana, This is Tracy from Tracys Treasure of books and I don't know what to say but Thank you so much for the award. I am afraid I have never dealt with anything like this so I don't know what to do. Do I just post it on my blog? Am I supposed to pass it on to someone else? Help!!! I hope you don't think I've totally lost it, but this is a big deal to me and I really appreciate it. I am so glad you liked my review, I am trying to make them better as I go along.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome, Tracy. I really enjoy what you are doing over there.
ReplyDeleteHi Dana, just wanted to let you know I was here. This is all knew to me - my first book was published in April - I feel like a kid standing in the center of an amusement park, twirling, arms spread, wondering were to go first.
ReplyDeleteEager to dig in; I'm reviewing blogs this week from fellow Book Blogs members.
Thank you for sharing who you are, and your love for reading. I hope to be back soon.
Susan
Glad you were here Susan! I love the way you explained how you are feeling. Made me totally get it.
ReplyDeleteI really don't know how I can contact you so I'm just posting it here.
ReplyDeleteI chose your blog to pass this award to. You have a really nice blog so I'm giving this to you. Congratulations!

Hi Dana,
ReplyDeleteI've been hanging out on your blog, but thought I'd stop in and read more about YOU. Very nice, brief bio with a touch of humor that is charming. Thanks for your interest in the Write Game and thanks for taking the time to leave comments. They are always appreciated.

ReplyDeleteit is human tendency to observe where a person is comming from and what s(he) wants to convey.we all are inquisitive to have insights on what is she when she is at home.i have gone to the extent of using binoculars to peep into homes.
may your tribe increase!

Dear Dana
ReplyDeleteToday is the first time that I saw your blog (it was recommended by a FB friend) and may I say that I think it’s a really great site.
I self published a science fiction thriller last year, The Zul Enigma, which is available as a paperback and eBook on Amazon. I know you must be very, very busy, but I wonder if you'd be interested in reading and reviewing it? The website is www.thezulenigma.com where you can learn more about the book and read the first chapter.
If you do have time and it is a book you'd like to review, please can you let me know how I can get a copy to you?
With kind regards
J M Leitch
