New Year. New Look. New Approach.

I hope that everyone is having a fantastic holiday season no matter which holiday you celebrate. Just 5 days till Christmas and the excitement is building. I am looking forward to getting back to the blog. I have promised myself the time off to celebrate Christmas so I am holding myself back until then. There are a few housekeeping things I'd like to cover before then, however.
  1. Like the new look? I'm loving it! New year deserves a new look, I think.
  2. In an effort to be more organised and therefore have more time to spend with family, a schedule is a necessity. So this will be mine. It will affect the number of books I will be accepting for review because I am leaving more time for books I see at the library, etc. but that's good, right? OK: Sunday will be a day of rest and family - no blogging!; Monday will be the day I will post requested reviews; Tuesday will be TBR Tuesday. I don't know if there is a meme already out there (if you know of one, let me know) so I plan on starting my own. It will be a time to summarise books coming down the pike.; Wednesday is set aside for odds and sods: book news; author bios; book quotes, thoughts and opinions; whatever bookish thing strikes my fancy that week.; Poets and poetry is being moved to Thursday. I'm hoping to be able to share poems, interview poets, review poetry collections, etc.; Friday will be another review day but I will be featuring books that I am reading for fun. Maybe I'll toss in a few old favourites and kids books as well. We'll see.; Saturday I am hoping to introduce the blog of the week for the following week and maybe even interview some bloggers. If you are interested in being spotlighted, drop me an e-mail.
So that's the idea. Today I found two more books to add to my TBR list. If I'm lucky they will show up under my tree. If not, I see a shopping trip in my near future. Has anyone read The Lady of the Rivers by Phillipa Gregory or The Secret Letters of the Monk who Sold his Ferrari by Robin Sharma? What did you think?

  1. Can't wait for your return. Those books look wonderful, can't wait to hear more once you get them.

  2. I am completely intrigued by The Secret Letters of the Monk who Sold his Ferrari by Robin Sharma. Never heard, but now I must know more!
