Teaser Tuesday

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page

I am almost finished a fantastic novel by Donna Miscolta entitled 'When the de la Cruz Family Danced'.


"Winston looked at them, side by side, dressed in what might have been their Sunday best, had church been a Saturday Night Fever discotheque for aging Filipino men. ... He waited for the two older men to shuffle past him, first Johnny in blue and then lime-sherbet Rey, now with the hat on his head and the sack tucked under an arm." (pg 133)

It's hard to find teasers that do this book justice. Definitely a case of the whole being larger than the sum of its parts. Watch for the review. Have a great day, everyone!
