I am just a sucker for challenges. I try hard to limit myself because I could fill all of my time with them. I think it is the feeling of accomplishment when I complete one that does it. Well, here we go again! This time it's a short term one and ... there's a prize! It's the Random Reader Historical Fiction Challenge (click the button for the original post). Here's the scoop:
1) Sign up. This can be done at the original post.
2) Buy, borrow, download (but don’t steal!) and read one of the following (audio-books count)
The Winter Palace by Eva Stachniak (Available January 3. Check out the video trailer!)
The Virgin Cure by Ami McKay
The Paris Wife by Paula McLain
Midwife of Venice by Roberta Riche
The Salt Road by Jane Johnson
Madame Tussaud by Michelle Moran
Anything in the Outlander or Lord John series by Diana Gabaldon
3) Review the book and post the link at the original post.
Sadly books read before signing up don't count so I won't be doing any of the Outlander series. It's a tough choice since I've heard good things about Michelle Moran lately but Midwife of Venice is on my TBR list so, in the interest of killing two birds with one stone, I think I'll choose that one. The end date for the challenge is Feb 29. Lots of time if any of you want to join in.
I discovered last year that I overwhelmed myself with challenges so this year I limited to three which I desperately mean to cling to. Everything is so tempting. LOL
