The Autobiography of Mrs Tom Thumb by Melanie Benjamin has been on my list for a long, long time. Goodreads says, in part:
In her national bestseller Alice I Have Been, Melanie Benjamin imagined the life of the woman who inspired Alice in Wonderland. Now, in this jubilant new novel, Benjamin shines a dazzling spotlight on another fascinating female figure whose story has never fully been told: a woman who became a nineteenth century icon and inspiration—and whose most daunting limitation became her greatest strength.I did very much enjoy reading Alice I have Been and I hope Mrs Tom Thumb is equally engaging. Mercy Lavinia “Vinnie” Bump was a real person. She reached the daunting height of 2 feet 8 inches. She was a very famous lady of her time and I am interested to get to know her through this novel.
I remember seeing this one around. Sounds good
